Vern Simpson III, Foreman

Originally from Washington State, Vern brings a calm, grounded energy to the NU-
YAR team. After spending time in Indiana, Vern now lives in Maine with his two sons, Vern IV
and Keith. His journey, and the family he’s raising, reflect a strong foundation built on
resilience, responsibility, and quiet leadership.

Vern’s character and work ethic distinguish him from the rest of the crowd. He’s
dependable, thoughtful, and fully committed to every project he touches.
Off the job site, Vern is a bassist who finds joy in music, a dedicated fan of The Walking Dead,
and a die-hard Green Bay Packers supporter. His current bucket list goal? Summiting Mount
Katahdin, proof of his steady ambition and love for the outdoors.

Vern’s mix of discipline, creativity, and humility makes him a valuable addition to NU-
YAR, and a great role model for the next generation both on and off the crew.
