Lead Carpenter Job Description

Are you a dedicated carpenter with a passion for delivering exceptional quality and maintaining integrity in every project? If so, we want to talk to you!

Responsibilities:

  • Take direction from owners, communicate daily, and report all concerns.

  • Understand project scopes and specifications.

  • Envision each project, develop plans, and ensure timely completion.

  • Lead assigned projects, read blueprints, lay out tasks, and assign roles.

  • Schedule and foresee project needs, ordering equipment and supplies.

  • Provide direction, training, and motivation to carpenters, apprentices, and laborers.

  • Maintain project timelines, hours, supplies, and manpower.

  • Ensure compliance with NU-YAR Construction safety policies.

  • Manage crew, including hiring and firing with owner approval.

  • Report progress and problems promptly to owners.

  • Provide weekly reports on crew performance and project progress.

  • Demonstrate excellence, attention to detail, and strong work ethic.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of construction experience with a strong Construction Management background.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • OSHA and RRP certified.

  • Ability to lead, manage, train, and motivate all crew members.

  • Professionalism and exceptional customer care.

  • Time management and organizational skills.

  • Diverse construction industry background with knowledge of all aspects of the trade.

  • Willingness to learn, adapt to new trends, and try new approaches.

  • Ability to work independently and lift 100 pounds.

  • Demonstrated carpentry skills with proven past experience.

  • Attention to detail, cleanliness, and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

  • Strong work ethic.

Pay range $65,000 - $80,000, based on experience and leadership capabilities.
